Oh Snap! Release

$11.4 ~~$19~~ In stock

The Oh Snap! Release is our version of a panic snap and is an updated version of our original release from 2013. We've often heard that other snap releases wear out or release with minimal pressure. To solve that problem, we offer a stainless steel snap with a 750lb break strength that guarantees the groomer to always be in control. Simply place the snap into the eye-bolt on your grooming arm and connect your grooming loop to the swivel. Should the dog fall off the table, simply grab your loop and pull the tab straight out and lower the animal.

For the Grooming Table
Break Strength 750lbs.
Coated stainless steel with stainless steel plunger
Pull tab made of rubber coated nylon (like our grooming loops)

Swapped out the old release for this one after it kept popping open under barely any tension, and the difference is obvious. The updated mechanism takes a solid press before it lets go, so my horse can lean on it without me worrying. Feels like it'll actually last this time.

I've had other panic snaps fail on me after a season, but this one's mechanism feels solid and the release pressure is just right—not too stiff, not so light it pops by accident. Exactly what I wanted for quick getaways in the saddle.

Took it out on a long trail ride yesterday and it held through every yank and tug without giving early. The updated design from 2013 clearly fixed whatever made the old ones slip.
